On July 4th, Adei Institute held a luncheon for future mentors, an orientation session for startups in our entrepreneurship program and the first General Assembly of our subsidiary, Adei Institut Côte d’Ivoire. We celebrated the launch at an afterwork with partners and friends of the institute. Getting ready to hit the ground…
In May we made a visit in Cote d’Ivoire with a goal to obtain institutional support and received a Warm Welcome from Ivorian Officials. In July, as local partner, we organized the Demo Africa City Innovation Tour in Abidjan, to select ivorian startups to take part in the international event in Morocco this month. Our Research & Evaluation team has been conducting a scan of the Tech Ecosystem Landscape over the past quarter. Our Program Development team is now focused on initiating a Pilot Program by end of year! We are continuing to grow our US-based team, forming an External Affairs Committee, as well as our local team in Côte d’Ivoire! We have ongoing partnership conversations with Google, Seedstars (Seedspace), Ernst & Young, and The Vault. We are looking forward to kicking off our Fundraising effort at SOCAP ’18! The largest conference to bring together impact investors, philanthropists and social entrepreneurs. Our impressive Research Team has undertaken the critical effort of conducting a scan of the Technology Landscape in Côte d’Ivoire, under the guidance of Board Director Mary Rauner, PhD, Senior Research Associate in Education at WestEd, and the expert contribution (pro bono) and field presence of Axelle Kadio-Morokro, Analytics and Market Research expert, Managing Director of Afriveille Data Intelligence and formerly Lead of Market Research and Business Intelligence at MTN. Also instrumental to this effort, are our dynamic team members Dramane Meite, Statistics Engineer in Economics, Finance and Actuarial Science, as well as MBA candidate at Stanford University, who also brings knowledge of the Technology space in Côte d’Ivoire, along with Nana Amoakohene Project Management expert and Technology Consultant at Deloitte.
